We have a variety of options for children on Sunday Mornings. For children under 3 years of age, we have a staffed nursery with 2 adults. It is filled with toys and books and various other fun things for kids. It is staffed from 9:30am until the approximately 11:45am, or whenever the service is over.
During the 10:30am service, following the Children’s message, there is Sunday school for children aged 3 to 6th grade. The children begin in the service and stay for the first 10 minutes. After First Word (which is like a Childrens’ Message) they leave the service and go to Sunday School. Our curriculum addresses various aged children. They all get the same Bible Story, Bible verses, and the games and crafts are varied by age. This program runs from Labor Day to Memorial Day.
Beginning in January 2012, we will have a confirmation class for children in 7th and 8th grade. It will be several months in length and will culminate on Easter. Part of this class will include the attendance at the Winter Retreat of the Presbytery of the Scioto Valley in February. More information will be available in January 2012.
